Madelyn and Emily had a wonderful experience travelling in Europe this summer and performing with the Blue
Lake International Ballet Ensemble. While at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in the summer of 2009, they took part in interviews
with Blue Lake staff and auditioned for the ensemble. They, along with 20 other dancers, were chosen from hundreds of dancers
to participate in the international program. Maddi, 16 and Emily, 17, travelled to 7 different European cities, including
cities in France, Germany and Belgium. They had a rigorous schedule of rehearsals, master classes and performances in each
of the cities they visited. While in each city, the girls stayed with host families. The entire tour lasted for 3 weeks. In
addition to getting a real taste of what it would be like be a part of a professional dance company, Maddi and Emily had the
opportunity to experience the culture in each of the countries they visited. They have both made some lasting friendships
and have come home with some treasured memories, as a result of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. To see some photos of

EXCITING NEWS! The studio has a beautiful new home. We moved
in on July 1. The new address is 20B Kettle River Drive, Glen Carbon, IL 62034. The new location is a just a few short
minutes from the present studio. From the Troy Rd. location, drive to Center Grove Rd, turn right onto Center Grove,
then left onto Illini (at the light next to the movie theater); turn right onto Cougar Drive and then, again, turn right,
immediately, onto Kettle River Drive. The studio is in the 7th building on the right.
